Outdoor Education Pictures

For at least 10 years now, Agents of the Earth Outdoor Education Program have been providing outdoor classroom encounters for students and educators. With forest, lake, bog, and river habitats close at hand, opportunity for a diverse, natural, learning experience is guaranteed. The benefits of "No Child Left Inside" is actively promoted in a day at AOTE. All lessons are linked to curriculum frameworks and benchmarks.
Please take the time to look over the photos below and see how fun and exciting a day in the woods can be.
Below are a listing of school groups to click on for photos of the day.

Forest Park 3rd Graders participate in a "NIMBY" simulation (not  in my back yard) where trash items need to be kept out of one side of  the court.  The concepts for these active lessons are renew, reduce, reuse, and recycle.

Hiking in a bog is a unique experience for many students.  These 6th graders not only learn about sphagnum moss and tamarack trees but understand what it is like to explore a bog.
